Dear _______,
We have all been through times where we are struggling and feel completely alone. We feel like no one understands and that no one could possibly care, and so we often bottle up our feelings. Although we feel this way sometimes, we are not alone. God is always with us no matter what we are going through or what we have done. "God is bigger than you know but closer than you think" -Steve Walton
I know you've probably heard it a million times, but in times like this the best thing you can do is pray. I know what you're thinking. "I've tried praying but it never works," sound familiar? What if God is waiting for us? What if God wants us to ask him for help when we need him? If God is waiting for us to give full dependence on him then what are we waiting for?
I know that praying can be intimidating, especially if you are new to it but one of my most recent discoveries is that there is no right way to pray. Being raised in an Episcopalian church that uses many "fancy" prayers for many different things and events, this was really hard for me to understand.
The best thing I can say to that is to just talk to God like you would a sister or your best friend, respectfully of course. Even if it's just starting off with talking about your day or what you are looking forward to the next day. So whatever you are going through good or bad, pray and know that you are never alone for God is always with you.
Love,
Moriah
