Hello All!
My name is Brenda and I'm going on a mission trip to Zambia, Africa for all of July. I have recently been struggling with my trust in G-d and the funding for this trip. Here's my story.
On Sunday (3/19/2017), I received a notification from Fund the Nations’ Instagram. They shared my picture of the shirts I purchased through them to sell out in fundraising for my trip. Along side getting of 800+ likes on that picture, I received countless messages with interest in buying my shirt. By the grace of G-d, I have sold out of all of my shirts and have already put in a new order for more. I didn’t even think that I was able to sell the one’s I had left, but G-d had a bigger and better plan for me. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, on Monday G-d really just left me speechless. I had received a donation that has sent me not only passed my 50% goal, but has got me to 75% funded!! I still cannot grasp all that has happened. I mean, what a testament to this journey. But what else I have been learning and loving is the faithfulness of Chr-st’s children. When you hear those stories of people being prompted to do things that seem absolutely wild and crazy and something perfect happens, it’s amazing. This is what I’m talking about. This here of someone else’s obedience to G-d that has impacted me so greatly even though it seemed like the most drastic and unsure thing to do ever. This is such a learning moment for me because I even have a hard time doing small prompts like praying for someone G-d is pointing to but it doesn’t matter how big or how small the prompt is. You may or may not see the fruit from the seed you plant when doing what God asks. And that’s hard because we humans want to know what awesome G-d thing happened, but it takes so much more faith and trust to be okay with not knowing. What I’m trying to say here is that nothing is too little or too big for G-d. This growth period has been so immense and amazing. It just another example of how the L-rd provides in times of uncertainty and unease. G-d is so so faithful and so so good. Never underestimate the Power of the Sp-rit. When you’re prompted, do whatever it is even if it might make you the weirdest person in the room or leave you unsure about what’s next. G-d knows what He’s doing. Faith is what you need. Have faith in our faithful G-d.
Grace be with you.
