Are Any of You Struggling with Anxiety?
Are any of you struggling with anxiety?
Do you feel like you are chained down by the emotional strain it has put on you?
Maybe you even feel like you can't make it past your anxiety battle.
I'm here to tell you that even though you feel anxious and doubtful, you have to trust that God is fighting the battle with you and you're not alone. For those of you who struggle with anxiety (myself included), we know that if we don't fight through it, it will take over our lives and thoughts. However, let me encourage you friend that we have a God who is so intimately in love with each one of us and wants to know our hearts. It even says in the word that he is JEALOUS for you. I know for me it was so different to think of him wanting to know EVERYTHING about us, because the world tells us the complete opposite.
For example, a lot of us have social media and when we post on it, many times it can paint this false picture in our minds of what someone's life is truly like. We find ourselves wishing we were in their situation instead of our own, not even looking up to see that maybe that isn't even the case. The world doesn't usually post negative things on their page and so this is where we can get trapped in this nasty cycle.
You might be thinking, "Why would such a Sovereign and holy God want to know me an anxious and sinful human being? It's amazing to know that our God who has created each of us unique to himself, longs to know the good, bad, and ugly of our life! Yep, that includes every single time you have an anxious thought, he wants to know. He wants to know when you doubt his plan. He can take it, and he'll show you his glorious power in his will that he has. You get it? He wants to know YOU and me and the one beside you.
So don't feel like just because you struggle with anxiety your life's going to be horrible, rather come to him with your every thought. It says in the word, that the Devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy your joy. Would we be a nation and a people that rebukes the enemy's lies and schemes with the power of God's truth?
So I want to leave you with this, when we are weak, he is strong. He is there to uphold us when we can't. Oh what a beautiful promise of his faithfulness to us. And that alone is enough for me.
